We invite families to join us in an educational journey that fosters deep connections, creativity, and lifelong learning.

Our admissions process is thoughtfully designed to guide families through the transition into our school, community, and possibly even our local area. Through a straightforward and thorough process, we aim to ensure the best fit for the child, the family, and the class community.

How to Apply

All steps must be completed before a student can be admitted.

1

Start a Conversation

Submit an inquiry and our Admissions Director will reach out to learn about your family, answer questions, and schedule a campus visit.

2

Visit Our Campus

See our classrooms, meet teachers, and get a feel for daily life at Waldorf. Most families know within one visit whether this feels right.

3

Submit an Application

After your visit, complete our online application. It's focused on understanding your child as a person, not testing them.

4

Meet the Teachers

Early Childhood families meet with teachers to discuss your child's background. Students applying for grades 1-8 spend 1-3 visiting days in the classroom.

5

Enrollment Decision

We'll notify you of our decision and, if accepted, guide you through the enrollment process.

Admissions Procedure

Review our complete admissions procedure document for detailed information about each step of the process.

Additional Information

Open Enrollment

We accept applications throughout the year based on availability.

Wait Pool

For classes that are full, we maintain a wait pool. This allows us to consider fit rather than simply first-come-first-served.

IEP Students

Students with an IEP should enroll by June 1 to ensure services are in place for fall.

Trial Period

New enrollments include an 8-week adjustment period for everyone to ensure the right fit.

Before & Aftercare

Available for working families, maintaining the same warmth and approach as our regular program. Contact admissions@waldorfsaratoga.org for details.

Sliding Scale Tuition

We believe Waldorf education should be accessible. Grades 1-8 and 5-day Kindergarten offer income-based tuition. Calculate your tuition

School District Registration: All students of kindergarten age or older must be registered with their local school district, even if enrolled in a private school. This ensures proper allocation of funds for textbooks, nursing services, and transportation.

Health Requirements: In accordance with NYS law, all visiting and accepted students must provide up-to-date vaccination records and a physical examination summary.
