Join our middle school Main Lesson blocks while continuing to homeschool. The best of both worlds for grades 6-8.
Since 2013, homeschooling families have been joining our middle school classrooms for Main Lesson blocks and the experience has been rewarding for everyone involved. Full-time students, blending students, parents, and teachers all look forward to continuing this partnership each year.
Program Details
- Grades: 6, 7, and 8
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 10:00 AM
- Format: Main Lesson blocks, three to four weeks each
- Availability: Contact admissions to confirm openings
What Is a Main Lesson Block?
Every morning at Waldorf, middle school students spend two focused hours immersed in a single subject - whether that's physics, medieval history, algebra, or American poetry. This block format allows for deep engagement, artistic work, discussion, and hands-on learning that simply isn't possible in shorter class periods.
Blending students participate fully in these blocks alongside their classmates, building genuine connections while experiencing Waldorf's distinctive academic approach.
